LIGHTS OF HOPE
Each year, the second Monday after Thanksgiving (this year: December 1, 2008), the Cancer House of Hope sets out hundreds of luminaria bags that people have requested in honor of or in memory of their loved ones who have had cancer. The bags line the Green in Westfield and present a breathtaking display of the love of family and friends. The Lights of Hope is coordinated with Westfield's Lighting of the Tree ceremony and the event is truly memorable. Luminaria bags are $5 each and can be ordered up to two weeks prior to the event.
Pave The Way For a Future of Hope
Now is your chance to support the CHH with a one time donation that will last a lifetime. Buy a brick (or more) to show your support, in honor or memory of a loved one, your company, or client, and become permanently associated with the CHH’s efforts. Each sponsored brick will be a visible part of the pathways leading to the front entry of the CHH in Springfield. We plan to have a majority of materials for the walkway donated, therefore proceeds from the commemorative brick project will be used to fund our programs and services at both CHH locations – Westfield & Springfield. The pathways will be installed this Spring by volunteers through collaboration with the Junior League of Greater Springfield, Stephen A. Roberts Landscape Architecture & Construction, and Northeast Contractors, Inc. UPDATE: The first set of orders went in! We unveiled the new walkway at our “One Year Celebration of Hope,” on June 17, 2006. We are currently taking orders for bricks...check back soon for a spring 2008 installation date!
